Laird Harrison is a novelist and multimedia journalist. He has recently completed work on an interactive novel, Fallen Lake, about the powerful attraction between two couples and how it affected their children.
Harrison was a freelance correspondent for TIME and People magazines. He’s written for many other national magazines (including Audubon, Reader’s Digest, Ladies’ Home Journal, and Health), newspapers (San Francisco Chronicle, Cleveland Plain Dealer, East Bay Express, and The News & Observer of Raleigh, NC); and Web sites (Salon, MSNBC, CNN.com, BabyCenter). He has produced video for Web sites including Smithsonianmag.com and audio for WUNC radio.
Harrison has taught writing at San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley Extension and Mediabistro.
He grew up in Berkeley, California, and studied creative writing and politics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He lives in Oakland, California.
